Episode 1: Intro to Autism (aired as episode 99)

This episode goes over the basic knowledge that you should know first to help you understand the future episodes. I (the host, Lauren Moyer) will share my journey of finding out that I am autistic, I will talk about the history of autism, and the present day mainstream narrative compared to how autistics view themselves.

Episode 2: Diagnosis and the DSM w/ Jenna

In this episode I share my own diagnosis story as well as my opinions on the DSM and the pathologization of autistics. I also interview my first guest who will share their autistic experience, how they were originally denied an autism diagnosis, and more!

Episode 3: ABA with guest TJ

This is a heavy episode where I will talk about the well know therapy for autistics-ABA. I will discuss the history of it, how it connects to gay conversion therapy, why many people especially a lot of autistics refer to it as abuse, and how it is part of a much bigger problem. The issue will be looked at intersectionally, and towards the end of the episode you will hear from an autistic parent of autistic children discuss their view on ABA.

Episode 4: Intersectionality and Community with Guest Asiatu

In this interview I talk with an Autistic, Black, Queer advocate and coach named Asiatu and hear about their autistic experience. They discuss many things such as the roots of ableism, the importance of community, and the changes that need to be made within the autistic community as well as outside so all autistic people can thrive.

Episode 5: Internalized Ableism & Masking w/ Guest Ky

In this episode Ky and I talk about what internalized ableism is and our own experiences with it. We also talk all about masking and we give advice on how to unmask if it is safe for you to do so.

Episode 6: Abolition w/ Guest Ari

Episode 7: Autistic Joy w/ Myth

This is a happier and lighter episode of Autistics Speak. I talk with author, ex-youtuber, and joy enthusiast, Myth! They are a queer, Metis, autistic, who I had a blast talking to. We talk about many great things that come with being autistic and how a lot can be learned from autistics and how capitalism is hurting our ability to be playful.

Episode 8: Trauma w/ Guest Lyndsey

In this episode I talk with autistic therapist Lyndsey all about trauma. We discuss the difference between being autistic and being traumatized as well as how many autistics are traumatized. Lyndsey: ⁠@lyndseyuptontherapy

Episode 9: Intergenerational Trauma & Parenting w/ Guest Shams

In this episode I got to talk to autistic researcher Shams who is doing their PhD on intergenerational trauma and parenting. This is great for autistic parents to listen to as well as anyone wanting to heal from intergenerational trauma. Shams: @temporalexistence

Episode 10: Reflection & Finale

In this episode you hear from my friend and mother about both of their reflections on my podcast, and I talk about my own reflection of creating Autistics Speak. I create discussion around where we can go from here so autistic liberation and total liberation can be achieved.
